Hastings Hotel Hits the Road with Luke Combs!

On Saturday February 1, a group of 50 country music fans from across our region joined Hastings Hotel for an unforgettable trip to see multi-platinum country artist Luke Combs live at Accor Stadium in Sydney. With 80,000 fans in attendance, Luke Combs made history as the first country artist to headline a stadium tour in Australia.

Combs, a country singer from North Carolina, has twice been named Country Music Artist of the Year and delivered an epic show, supported by opening acts Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, and rising Aussie star Lane Pittman from Tamworth.

The adventure started with guests being picked up from Sancrox, Port Macquarie, and Kew, before heading to Harrigan’s Cameron Park for a delicious lunch and drinks. A big thanks to Mat and the team at Harrigan’s for looking after us so well! Guests were treated to a Luke Combs merch pack filled with a tote bag, hat, shirt, and snacks to keep the energy up for the big night ahead.

The trip was hosted by Hastings Hotel Venue Manager Brandon Grogan and his lovely wife, Harriet. After checking into the Ibis Styles Thornleigh, the group barely had time to catch their breath before heading off for pre-show drinks at The Locker Room in Sydney Olympic Park.

The concert was incredible, with Luke Combs delivering hit after hit to a packed stadium of fans. Six of the guests were lucky competition winners from Hastings Hotel, Settlers Inn, and Beechwood Hotel, making the experience even more special.

It was a fantastic day of country music, great company, and memorable moments. A huge thank you to Trish and Dan from Port Bus Tours for providing comfortable luxury transport and ensuring the trip ran smoothly from start to finish.
