21 Finalist Spots at the AHA NSW Awards!
Flower Hotels is proud to announce that we’ve received 21 finalist nominations across 10 categories at this year’s AHA NSW Awards for Excellence.
Recognised as the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry, these awards honour excellence in NSW hotels in categories ranging from dining and accommodation to community service and HR talent.
Flower Hotels has a history of success at these awards, with past wins including Settlers Inn for Heart of the Community and Best Parmi, Tacking Point Tavern for Best Retail Liquor Outlet, and Fernhill Tavern for Best Cheap Eats. This year, we continue to uphold our reputation for excellence with venues across the group vying for top spots in categories such as Best Family Friendly, Best Regional Casual Dining, Best Steak Sandwich, and even Best Chips!
We are particularly excited to see two staff from Settlers Inn nominated for individual awards with Venue Manager Zoe Archer up for Industry Rising Star and Head Chef Mathew Tonks finalist for Regional Chef of the Year. Regional Hotel of the Year is a hotly contested category that the AHA NSW nominate as part of the judging process and Settlers Inn is extremely excited to be a finalist for 2024!
Additionally, Flower Hotels as a group has been nominated for Group Hotel Operator of the Year, which we were fortunate to have won back in 2022.

“I’m stoked to be a finalist in the Industry Rising Star category. I started with Flower Hotels at Settlers Inn way back in 2015 and at the time wouldn’t have been able to imagine eventually being the Venue Manager - but here I am.
I’m really looking forward to attending the awards ceremony and supporting all our venues, and of course hopefully coming home with a trophy!”

The winners will be announced on Tuesday, 29 October, at a presentation ceremony at the Winx Stand, Royal Randwick Racecourse.
